The Portland Trail Blazers are staying Melo.

Portland will amend Carmelo Antony's contract in order to fully guarantee it for the rest of the season, reports ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Trail Blazers had until Jan. 7 to decide whether to guarantee Anthony's entire $2.15-million deal, according to ESPN's Bobby Marks.

Anthony officially signed with Trail Blazers in November after a year away from the NBA. In eight games with the club, the 35-year-old is averaging 16.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.8 assists. He was named the Western Conference's Player of the Week for Nov. 25 to Dec. 1.
