The NBA has fined Los Angeles Lakers guard Rajon Rondo $35,000 for making unsportsmanlike contact with Oklahoma City Thunder guard Dennis Schroder as well as verbally abusing an official Friday.

Rondo, who was ejected from the contest, was also penalized for failing to leave the court in a timely manner.

Rondo was ejected in the fourth quarter of the Lakers' win Friday for purposely striking Schroder in the groin with his right leg; the officials ruled the play to be a flagrant-2 foul after a video review.

After being ejected, Rondo refused to leave immediately and was captured on video directing what appeared to be offensive language to the referee.

The Lakers held on to win without Rondo, 130-127.
