The Los Angeles Clippers will be the Golden State Warriors' special guests when the latter usher in a new era.

Golden State will welcome the Clippers to the Chase Center on Oct. 24 for what will be the first regular-season contest at the new San Francisco arena, sources told Marc Stein of The New York Times.

It will also mark the Clippers' first road game of the campaign, notes Stein.

Golden State is moving into its new home across the bay following nearly 50 years in Oakland's Oracle Arena. The franchise last played consistently in San Francisco in 1971.

The Chase Center will also be the setting for the Warriors' Christmas Day clash against their Western Conference rivals, the Houston Rockets.
