Klay warns against counting out Warriors next season

Don't tell Klay Thompson that the Golden State Warriors' championship days are over.

"I think that's a little premature to say there's no more dynasty," the five-time All-Star sharpshooter said on ESPN's "The Jump," which aired Thursday. "I mean we still have Stephen Curry - a two-time MVP, Draymond Green - a Defensive Player of the Year. Adding D'Angelo Russell was an incredible get for us ... that kid's going to blossom into a superstar in this league."

Thompson also predicted that his recovery from a torn left ACL suffered in Game 6 of the NBA Finals will ultimately improve his physical condition.

"To say the dynasty is over I think is a little ignorant because ... I think I'm going to come back even better and more athletic. It would not be smart to count the Dubs out," he said.

Thompson isn't expected to play until at least February.

The Western Conference appears wide open in 2019-20, and the Warriors figure to be involved in the playoff mix despite losing key championship cogs like Kevin Durant and Andre Iguodala.
