Brooklyn Nets general manager Sean Marks has been suspended one game without pay and fined $25,000 for entering the referee's locker room postgame Saturday, the league announced in a release, according to The Athletic's Sam Amick.

The incident occurred after the Nets dropped a heated Game 4 to the Philadelphia 76ers, during which both Jimmy Butler and Jared Dudley were ejected after Joel Embiid's flagrant-1 foul sparked a fracas between the teams.

Marks and the Nets were livid over their belief that Embiid's flagrant-1 fouls in Games 2 and 4 should've been deemed flagrant-2 infractions, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. The Nets GM reportedly challenged the referees as a show of support for his team.

The Sixers lead the best-of-seven series 3-1 and have a chance to close it out Tuesday in Philadelphia.
