Best player prop bets to consider for Wednesday's NBA playoff slate

With three more games on the NBA playoff slate for Wednesday, we dive into the most intriguing player props available.

Wayne Ellington Over/Under 3.5 3-pointers made

The Pistons desperately needed another scoring threat without Blake Griffin in the lineup Sunday. Detroit mustered 86 points in the 35-point loss to the Bucks, hitting only 29.7 percent of shots taken from beyond the arc. The Pistons figure to go down without much of a fight to the top seed in the East, but Ellington could play a pivotal role in keeping the series somewhat interesting.

The veteran shooting guard connected on just two of his 10 attempts from beyond the arc Sunday. He's getting his looks, having attempted at least eight threes in each of the previous nine games. Milwaukee paces the NBA in opponent field-goal percentage but does give up the three, allowing opponents to hit 36.1 percent. With Detroit likely trailing and taking a bombs-away approach, Ellington should have plenty of opportunities Wednesday.

Joe Ingles Over/Under 11.5 points

Ingles has long been a spark plug for the Jazz, serving as a marksman from downtown and one of the most underrated defenders in the NBA. Underdogs on the road need these types of X-factors to have a chance in a series, but Ingles was a no-show in Game 1, notching three points, five assists, four rebounds, and a minus-16 net rating in the 32-point blowout.

The Rockets have clamped down on the veteran forward in their previous three meetings, holding him to a combined 19 points.

Bojan Bogdanovic Over/Under 24.5 points + rebounds + assists

Bogdanovic closed out March with five straight games of 20 or more points. He's failed to hit that number in his previous three, and he's coming off a 12-point performance against the Celtics in which he went 4-for-11 from the field and missed all three of his attempts from downtown. The Pacers guard erupted for 27 to go along with two assists and one rebound on March 29 against the Celtics, but has mostly struggled against Boston. In the other three meetings, Bogdanovic's been held to an average of 16 combined points, rebounds, and assists.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Over/Under 26.5 points

Antetokounmpo is Milwaukee's leading scorer at 27.7 points per game. Taking the under on any of his player props is infuriating given his ability to take over a game, but the Pistons have matched up against him decently this season. Outside of a 32-point performance on Dec. 17, Antetokounmpo put up point totals of 24, 21, 15, and 15 when playing Detroit.

If the Bucks go up by 30-plus again in Game 2, it could also cut into the forward's playing time.

James Harden to record a triple-double

For those who might want to take a chance on Harden posting a triple-double, you can get 9-1 odds on a player who's done it seven times this season and has come mighty close on other occasions.

That includes Game 1 against the Jazz, when the Rockets point guard went off for 29 points and 10 assists but fell two rebounds short. He's flirted with a triple-double in other games against Utah too, posting 43-5-12 on Feb. 2.

If you're looking for a big payout, this prop bet is for you.
