Memphis Grizzlies rookie Jaren Jackson Jr. will be out for the foreseeable future with a right quad injury, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Jackson was selected fourth overall by the Grizzlies in the 2018 draft. He's averaging 13.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks this season in 58 games.

Before missing the Grizzlies' matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday, the 6-foot-11 power forward had been absent for only one game this season on Feb. 1, which he missed with right quad soreness.

The Grizzlies will be cautious with their young star, Wojnarowski adds.

Memphis is 23-36 heading into its matchup on Friday.
