The Toronto Raptors plan on signing guard Ben McLemore to a 10-day contract after he clears waivers, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

McLemore was waived by the Sacramento Kings on Feb. 7.

The 25-year-old has failed to live up to expectations after being selected seventh overall in the 2013 NBA Draft.

Toronto's roster is currently down to 10 players after the front office played an active role ahead of Thursday's trade deadline.

The Raptors dealt Jonas Valanciunas, C.J. Miles, and Delon Wright to the Memphis Grizzlies for Marc Gasol. They also traded Greg Monroe to the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for cash.

McLemore should supply depth at the wing and could be an effective perimeter shooter. He's averaging a career-low 3.9 points in 19 appearances this season.
