Ujiri says Raptors will 'attack the buyout market'

The Toronto Raptors were one of the biggest movers and shakers on NBA trade deadline day, landing three-time All-Star center Marc Gasol in exchange for Jonas Valanciunas, Delon Wright, C.J. Miles, and a future draft pick.

Now, team president Masai Ujiri hopes Toronto isn't done yet.

The Raptors will "attack the buyout market," Ujiri said on Thursday night, according to the Toronto Sun's Ryan Wolstat. Ujiri added that he's already spoken to some agents regarding buyout candidates, via The Athletic's Eric Koreen.

With Miles gone, the Raptors could use another perimeter shooter. Toronto has struggled from deep this season, ranking 23rd in 3-point percentage. Guard Wesley Matthews is expected to sign with the Indiana Pacers, possibly making Wayne Ellington a target for the Raptors if the Phoenix Suns release him.

Toronto could also kick the tires on a power forward, Ujiri told Koreen.
