With the Charlotte Hornets visiting New York on Sunday, Bronx native Kemba Walker was asked about the possibility of eventually playing for the Knicks.

Walker is under contract with the Hornets until the offseason, so the two-time All-Star's response was understandably non-committal.

"I don't have any interest in coming back home - right now," Walker said, according to the New York Post's Zach Braziller.

Walker, whose four-year, $48-million extension is set to conclude this summer, stands to receive a significant raise. The 28-year-old has emerged as a legitimate All-NBA candidate, averaging a career-best 25.8 points and 6.2 assists through 26 games.

The guard appreciates the special occasion that is playing on one of basketball's grandest stages, even if he never does so as a member of the home team.

"I mean, I'm home. This is where I'm from," Walker said of playing at Madison Square Garden. "I'm pretty sure anyone that goes home to play where they're from, it's exciting for them. (It's exciting) for me, when I get a chance to play in front of my family and friends, play in front of the people that know me best."

Walker gave his supporters something to cheer about Sunday, leading the charge with 25 points and six dimes, and ultimately powered his Hornets to a 119-107 victory.
