Toronto Raptors forward Kawhi Leonard has agreed to a multi-year endorsement deal with New Balance, sources told Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes.

The footwear company will look to turn Leonard, who, as of now, is set to become the brand's only NBA player, into the face of its re-emerging basketball division.

Leonard reportedly rejected a four-year, $22-million extension with Jordan Brand in July to become a free agent on the shoe market.

Boston Celtics forward Gordon Hayward was reportedly a key target for New Balance before he signed a four-year deal with the Chinese brand Anta in September.

However, the company signed NBA-hopeful Darius Bazley to an internship worth up to $14 million in incentives in October after he decommitted from Syracuse to individually prepare for the 2019 NBA Draft.

Leonard has led the Raptors to an 18-4 start, averaging 24.3 points and 8.6 boards in 16 appearances.
