Dell, Stephen Curry move up to No. 2 on all-time father-son scoring list
Dell Curry has done his part. Now, to vie for the title of the highest scoring father-son duo in NBA history, Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry will have to do the heavy lifting.
With his 29-point outing against the Phoenix Suns on Monday night, the Currys passed Dolph and Danny Schayes for No. 2 on the all-time father-son scoring list.
Next up - a mere 11,669 points away - are Joe and Kobe Bryant, sitting comfortably at No. 1. At his current career rate of 23.1 points per game, it'll take Stephen Curry another 505 games - six seasons and change - to match the Bryants' sum.
"It's pretty special," Curry said after the Warriors' win, according to ESPN's Nick Friedell. "Knowing what my dad in his career for 16 years and him passing the torch to me. And I'm going to try to talk to the rules committee and see if we can get Seth Curry's numbers in there, too. Strength in numbers right there. See if we can catch Kobe and his dad."
