The Toronto Raptors have made a move that may make Kawhi Leonard feel more at home north of the border.

The Raps have hired former San Antonio Spurs assistant video coordinator Jeremy Castleberry as a player development coach, according to multiple reports.

The hiring is noteworthy because Castleberry is a close friend of Leonard, whom the Raptors obtained from the Spurs in a blockbuster trade on July 18. Castleberry has known Leonard since they played on the same AAU team, with both also attending San Diego State together.

Leonard can opt out of the final year of his contract next summer to become an unrestricted free agent.
