Report: Rodney Hood still in Cavs' plans

Restricted free agent Rodney Hood remains in the Cleveland Cavaliers' plans, and the team will likely match any offer sheet he signs, a team source told Cleveland.com's Joe Vardon.

Reports emerged earlier this month that the Sacramento Kings had interest in the 25-year-old shooting guard, although no offer was made. The overall restricted free-agent market has been dry this summer, in part because most teams are either capped out or unwilling to spend after the big-contract bonanza of two summers ago.

Hood is still viewed as a player with great two-way potential, although his career playoff performance - especially this past season - leaves much to be desired. In 17 postseason games this spring, he averaged 5.4 points on 16.7 percent 3-point shooting. In Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinals sweep of the Toronto Raptors, Hood refused to enter the contest in fourth-quarter garbage time.
