Magic's Gordon, Vucevic returning Thursday vs. Knicks

Kim Klement / USA TODAY Sports

The Orlando Magic will be getting their starting front-court back as forward Aaron Gordon and center Nikola Vucevic will be making their returns on Thursday against the New York Knicks, the team announced.

Gordon suffered a hip flexor last month against the Indiana Pacers, and hasn't played since Jan. 27. He missed Orlando's last nine games and 18 overall. The fourth-year forward is having a career year when healthy, averaging 18.4 points and 8.3 rebounds - both career highs.

After playing in the Magic's first 34 games this season, Vucevic has missed the last 23, being out of the lineup since suffering a fracture in his left hand against the Washington Wizards on Dec. 23. The Magic big man is averaging 17.4 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists.

The Magic are in a six-way tie for the fewest wins in the league and are 18-39 with 25 games remaining this season. Orlando started the season 8-4, but has gone 10-35 since.
