Anthony Davis continues to etch his name in the history books.

The New Orleans Pelicans forward overtook Chris Paul as the franchise's second-leading scorer when he hit a floater in the lane in the fourth quarter versus the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday.

Davis, 24, finished with 29 points in the 107-90 victory and now has 7,938 overall - two more than Paul registered in six years with the franchise from 2005-2011 when they were the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets.

David West holds the top spot with 8,690 points over eight years.

Davis is averaging 22.5 points, 10.2 rebounds, 2.4 blocks, 1.8 assists, and 1.3 steals since being drafted by the Pelicans in 2012. He's on pace to claim West's record this season, and set many more with the club as he is signed through 2020-21.
