Watch: Carmelo welcomed to OKC by horde of Thunder fans chanting his name

It seems the Oklahoma City Thunder have their fans' approval of their latest move.

The Thunder acquired Carmelo Anthony earlier this week in a trade from the New York Knicks. The 10-time All-Star landed in Oklahoma City on Sunday evening and was greeted by a large crowd chanting "O-K-C" and "Melo."

Many of the supporters were appropriately dressed for the occasion, wearing sleeveless hoodies like the ones Melo has notoriously donned while hooping over the summer.

The next day, Melo raved about the reception.

"Unbelievable, unbelievable," he told reporters Monday, as transcribed by ASAP Sports. "To go from a situation where it was just an emotional roller coaster for me back in New York. ... But to come here on the flip side of that and feel that passion and feel that energy, anytime you feel wanted and appreciated, you can't even put those feelings into words."

The 33-year-old forward will round out a Big Three in OKC alongside MVP Russell Westbrook and Paul George, who received the same warm welcome upon his arrival, following an offseason trade with the Indiana Pacers.

No wonder they call it "Loud City."
