The Portland Trail Blazers are going to be a little thinner in the paint to start the season.

Power forward Noah Vonleh will likely miss all of training camp and the first two weeks of the regular season after reportedly suffering a strain in his right shoulder, according to CSN Northwest's Jason Quick.

Though the injury won't require surgery, it likely puts to rest the possibility that Vonleh sneaks into a starting role to start the season. Incumbent Al-Farouq Aminu, seven-year veteran Ed Davis, and rookie Caleb Swanigan will take on the bulk of frontcourt duties alongside center Jusuf Nurkic.

Vonleh was the No. 9 pick by the Charlotte Hornets in 2014, but has yet to prove he can handle the rigors of a full starter's workload through his first three seasons. In 177 career games, the 22-year-old has averaged just 3.9 points and 4.4 rebounds in 15.2 minutes per game.
