Losing his All-Star teammate won't affect Dwyane Wade's decision to remain with the Chicago Bulls next season.

The 35-year-old is still going to exercise his 2017-18 player option of $23.8 million, even with the Bulls having traded Jimmy Butler to the Minnesota Timberwolves, sources told CSN Chicago's Vincent Goodwill.

Butler was sent to Minnesota in a draft-night deal, along with the No. 16 pick (Justin Patton), in exchange for Zach LaVine, Kris Dunn, and the No. 7 pick (Lauri Markkanen).

Wade told NBA.com's David Aldridge on Wednesday night that he had "24 million reasons" to stay in The Windy City. He later tweeted out that his numbers in his first year with the franchise, despite his age, make him more than deserving of his salary.
