Danica Patrick's full-time racing career went up in flames on Sunday at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
The 35-year-old driver appeared to lose control of her vehicle with 18 laps to go in Stage 2 of the Ford EcoBoost 400 before a small fire ignited under her hood.
Patrick announced before Sunday's race she would retire from full-time driving, but will still drive in the 2018 Daytona 500 and Indianapolis 500.
