Mackenzie Dern returned to the win column Saturday with a 49-43, 49-44, 49-44 thrashing of Angela Hill in the UFC Fight Night main event at the Apex in Las Vegas.

Dern rebounded from a majority decision loss to Yan Xiaonan in October 2022 in another Apex event she headlined. She's now 2-2 over her last four, with wins over Hill and Marina Rodriguez during that stretch.

The 30-year-old came out on fire versus Hill, scoring a knockdown midway through the first round and threatening to end the bout the rest of the frame. She continued to dominate over most of the next four rounds, landing heavy shots from the feet and seeking submissions on the ground, with Hill doing what she could to survive each onslaught.

Ultimately, Dern landed 126 significant strikes compared to 50 from Hill. The Brazilian jiu-jitsu phenom racked up 61 significant ground strikes, while Hill mustered only one. Dern also recorded 11:14 of control time on the mat.

After the fight, Dern called out former strawweight champion Rose Namajunas, who hasn't fought since dropping the belt one year ago.

In the co-main event, Anthony Hernandez defeated Edmen Shahbazyan by TKO with strikes in the third round.
