Ciryl Gane defeated Jairzinho Rozenstruik via unanimous decision (50-45, 50-45, 50-45) in the heavyweight main event of UFC Fight Night on Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

Gane put on a tactical performance in his first UFC main event, clearly besting Rozenstruik in each round. "Bon Gamin" displayed high fight IQ, efficiency, and solid control of range.

The 30-year-old used his reach advantage to pick apart his opponent and ultimately stayed busier on the feet while also mixing in a couple takedowns. Meanwhile, Rozenstruik struggled to pull the trigger throughout much of the 25-minute contest.

Gane improved to 8-0 as a professional and 5-0 in the UFC with the victory. He entered the bout as the seventh-ranked heavyweight, but he'll likely move into the top five, as Rozenstruik was previously ranked No. 4.

Rozenstruik, a 2019 newcomer of the year candidate who finished his first four fights in the Octagon, fell to 1-2 over his past three contests.
