Conor McGregor believes he'll score a quick finish in his rematch against Dustin Poirier, but the former UFC champion wouldn't be disappointed if it ends up being a back-and-forth brawl.

"Dustin is a tough competitor. I would love that also, to be honest - I would love a war," McGregor told The Mac Life's Oscar Willis. "I would love to be in the mix with it. I am certainly ready for that.

"I will have landed devastating blows within that first 60 seconds," he added. "If Dustin can withstand and stay in there, more power to him and let's get it on. Let's put the gloves up and let's go."

Poirier recently said he hopes he and McGregor are both "dripping blood" by the end of the first round of the UFC 257 main event. "The Diamond" said he wants to find out if McGregor is able to dig deep in a fight.

The first pay-per-view event of 2021 takes place Jan. 23 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and will also feature a lightweight bout between Dan Hooker and former Bellator champ Michael Chandler.
