Urijah Faber derailed Ricky Simon's hype train in his last fight and looks to do the same against rising bantamweight Petr Yan on Dec. 14.

"I don't foresee him fatiguing and breaking. I don't see me fatiguing and breaking," Faber told theScore. "It's going to be about who can get the positions where they can dominate. ... I think I'm going to best him - I think I'm going to be getting the upset because I feel like there's a lot of hype behind the guy. I just think it'll be a wild fight. I see probably a finish. If not, we'll go to war for three rounds."

Faber (35-10) halted Simon's eight-fight win streak by knocking out the ATT Portland product in the first round.

If Faber gets the most impressive victory out of all the upcoming bantamweight matchups, "The California Kid" revealed that a title shot could be next.

“Dana (White) said, 'Look, with you in the picture, it's (Jose) Aldo versus (Marlon) Moraes, it's (Cory) Sandhagen versus Frankie (Edgar), and it's you versus Yan.' I imagine whoever the highest-clouted guy is that wins, there'll kind of be a lineup from there," Faber said before listing several other potential contenders.

The 40-year-old added, "This could be - win, lose, or draw - my last fight, I don't know. But I'll always make myself available. … I'll be looking for the title fight."

UFC 245 takes place Dec. 14 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Welterweight champion Kamaru Usman defends his title against Colby Covington in the main event. Watch the full interview with Faber below and subscribe to theScoreMMA YouTube channel here.
