Joanna Jedrzejczyk made weight without issue Friday, hitting the scales at 115.5 pounds to make the women's strawweight limit with half a pound to spare.

Her opponent for Saturday's main event at UFC Tampa, Michelle Waterson, weighed in at 115 pounds, making the bout official.

Reports emerged earlier this week that Jedrzejczyk would be unable to make the 115-pound weight limit, putting the fight in jeopardy. She quickly dispelled those rumors and reportedly made a greater effort to ensure the bout would go on.

Both fighters will be looking to climb the women's strawweight rankings Saturday. Jedrzejczyk - the former division champion - is currently ranked fifth after losing three of her last four fights, while seventh-ranked Waterson is building toward a title shot with wins in each of her last three bouts.

Also on the main card, women's strawweight Mackenzie Dern will make her return to the Octagon just four months after giving birth. She's had trouble making weight in the past but had no such issues Friday, weighing in at 115 pounds.
