Report: Holm-Pennington set for UFC 243 in Australia
Holly Holm will fight Raquel Pennington at UFC 243 on Oct. 5, ESPN's Brett Okamoto reports.
The card will take place in Melbourne, Australia, the site of Holm's famous knockout of Ronda Rousey to claim the women's bantamweight title at UFC 193.
Holm, 37, lost the title to Miesha Tate in her first attempted defense and has struggled to maintain consistency since then, dropping five of seven fights since her head kick sent Rousey to the canvas and shockwaves through women's mixed martial arts.
In October, Holm will look to return to her UFC roots against a familiar opponent in Pennington, whom Holm dispatched via split decision in her UFC debut at UFC 184 in early 2015.
UFC 243 will be headlined by a middleweight title fight between Robert Whittaker and Israel Adesanya.
