Craig leads UFC London bonuses with miracle submission win

Per Haljestam / USA TODAY Sports

With a mind-boggling submission came an extra $50,000 for Paul Craig.

The light heavyweight took one of two Performance of the Night bonuses for his (literal) last-second triangle-choke tapout of newcomer Magomed Ankalaev at UFC Fight Night 127 in London on Saturday, which set the promotional record for the latest stoppage in a three-round bout.

Also pocketing an additional $50K was Alexander Volkov, who emerged as a heavyweight contender with a fourth-round KO of former champ Fabricio Werdum in the afternoon's headliner.

Light heavyweights Jan Blachowicz and Jimi Manuwa picked up Fight of the Night - also good for 50 grand each - for their three-round scrap, which Blachowicz took by unanimous decision.
