The LA Galaxy are heading home to face a familiar foe.

With a 2-1 win over Minnesota United on Sunday, the Galaxy teed up a tantalizing Western Conference semifinal against city rivals Los Angeles FC.

Sebastian Lletget and Jonathan dos Santos provided the goals on a rare off night for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who struggled to get involved.

Minnesota threatened on several occasions but only managed three shots on target. Jan Gregus' goal in the 88th minute was nothing more than a consolation.

LAFC will host the Galaxy on Thursday in the sixth edition of El Trafico, which is quickly becoming the most exciting derby in MLS. The two sides combined for 11 goals in their last two clashes, with Ibrahimovic scoring five of them.

LAFC finished the regular season with the best record in MLS history, accruing 72 points in 34 games. Club captain Carlos Vela also smashed the single-season scoring record with 34 goals in 2019.

Ibrahimovic, who turned 38 earlier in October, propped up a Galaxy side that allowed the second-most goals (59) in the Western Conference. But his teammates did much of the pulling on Sunday.
