Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira was decidedly incredulous at teammate Derek Jeter's recent decision to retire after the 2014 campaign, as he's convinced the 39-year-old shortstop can still be productive, reports Daniel Barbarisi of the Wall Street Journal.

Much like Jeter, Teixeira was plagued by injury problems last season, appearing in just 15 games after tearing the tendon sheath in his right wrist. However, Teixeira has no intention to retire anytime soon, and the 33-year-old still has three seasons remaining on his current contract.
