Orioles reinstate Mullins, Westburg from IL, option Kjerstad
The Baltimore Orioles are getting some much-needed reinforcements.
The club announced Tuesday it reinstated outfielder Cedric Mullins and infielder Jordan Westburg from the injured list, both of whom were sidelined with hamstring strains.
Baltimore optioned Heston Kjerstad and designated Emmanuel Rivera for assignment in corresponding moves.
Mullins has been the Orioles' best hitter when healthy this season. The 30-year-old posted a .771 OPS (121 OPS+) with 10 home runs, 31 RBIs, and eight stolen bases in 50 games before getting hurt.
Westburg has been limited to just 23 games in 2025 but was an All-Star last year after hitting 18 home runs with 63 RBIs.
Kjerstad has struggled to a .192/.240/.327 slash line in 156 at-bats. Rivera, meanwhile, owns a .578 OPS (69 OPS+).
The Orioles entered Tuesday with a disappointing 26-38 record.
