The New York Yankees increased their offer to Juan Soto from the club's first proposal to the star free agent, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

The exact term and financial details of the offers are not yet known.

Soto reportedly met with the Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Mets, and Toronto Blue Jays over the past week.

The Yankees told Soto they are open to including opt-outs as part of the contract, Heyman added.

Soto is expected to land one of the largest contracts in MLB history this offseason as the premier free agent on the market and the 4-time All-Star interested in a 15-year deal, according to Heyman.

The 26-year-old excelled in his first season with the Yankees in 2024, setting a new career-high with 41 home runs. Soto helped lead the club to its first World Series appearance in 15 years before the Yankees fell short to the Los Angeles Dodgers in five games.
