Marlins DFA Gordon in 1st season with team

The Miami Marlins designated outfielder Nick Gordon for assignment, the club announced Monday.
Miami acquired Gordon from the Minnesota Twins for reliever Steven Okert in February.
Gordon is earning $900,000 in his first year of arbitration eligibility. The 28-year-old slashed .227/.258/.369 with eight home runs, 32 RBIs, and five stolen bases across 95 games this season.
Gordon is a career .244 hitter with 23 home runs and 112 RBIs in parts of four MLB seasons. He was the fifth overall pick by the Twins in the 2014 draft.
