The Los Angeles Dodgers optioned struggling starting pitcher Bobby Miller to the minor leagues, the team announced Wednesday.
The club recalled righty Ricky Vanasco in a corresponding move.
Miller recorded a 9.87 ERA across four disappointing starts since returning from the injured list June 19. The 25-year-old most recently allowed nine earned runs against the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday night.
The former top prospect enjoyed a successful rookie campaign in 2023, posting a 3.76 ERA across 124 1/3 innings.
Los Angeles will look to rebound Wednesday night in the second of three games against the NL-leading Phillies.
