Major League Baseball unveiled its All-Star finalists Thursday with Phase 1 of voting officially coming to a close.

New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge led all players with 3,425,309 votes, while Philadelphia Phillies first baseman Bryce Harper paced the National League with 3,277,920. Both received automatic starting spots in the 2024 All-Star Game - which will be played July 16 at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas - as the leading vote-getters in their respective leagues.

Judge, now a six-time All-Star, entered Thursday with an MLB-high 30 home runs. Harper, meanwhile, is in the midst of another MVP-worthy campaign and will be making the eighth All-Star appearance of his illustrious career.

There are two finalists at every position in the American League except for the outfield, where four are competing for the remaining two spots. The National League has six outfielders competing for three spots.

Harper's Phillies have an NL-high six finalists across several positions, while the Orioles lead the AL with six.

Phase 2 of the All-Star vote will begin Sunday, June 30 at noon ET and conclude at noon ET on July 3. All previous vote totals will be reset, with starters announced July 3 at 7 p.m. ET.
