The San Francisco Giants are excited about the recent addition of two-time Cy Young winner Blake Snell.

The Giants and Snell finalized a two-year contract worth $62 million on Tuesday.

"It obviously doesn't guarantee anything," Giants outfielder Mike Yastrzemski said, according to MLB.com's Zach Buchanan. "But we're happy to see the front office is really making a push to make this team the best we can be. That's a great addition."

Snell gives the Giants one of the most formidable duos in baseball alongside NL Cy Young runner-up Logan Webb. The Giants are the first team since the 2003 Arizona Diamondbacks to have the top two in Cy Young voting on the same team the following season, according to Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area.

"Everybody just got a shot of adrenaline," Giants right-hander Alex Cobb said about the addition of Snell.

The Giants were one of the most active teams this offseason. Along with Snell, San Francisco added Korean outfielder Jung Hoo Lee, slugger Jorge Soler, Gold Glove third baseman Matt Chapman, and 2021 AL Cy Young Robbie Ray.

The Giants went 79-83 last season to finish fourth in the NL West, missing the postseason for a second consecutive campaign.
