The Houston Astros won't turn to star right-hander Zack Greinke when they try to clinch a trip to the ALCS on Wednesday.

Following his team's win Tuesday, Astros manager Dusty Baker announced that Greinke isn't starting Game 3 of the division series against the Oakland Athletics because he's dealing with an arm injury, according to Brian McTaggart of MLB.com.

Right-hander Jose Urquidy will get the ball instead.

There is no structural damage to Greinke's throwing arm after he visited with doctors on Wednesday, Baker said, according to ESPN's Alden Gonzalez.

Baker added he hopes the Astros defeat the A's on Wednesday, so Greinke can benefit from additional rest and be ready to pitch again in the championship series.

The 36-year-old started the Astros' playoff opener against the Minnesota Twins, allowing a run on two hits in four innings. He walked three batters and struck out just one in that start.

Houston is already without injured right-hander Justin Verlander, as well as closer Roberto Osuna.

The Astros beat Oakland 5-2 on Tuesday, moving them to within one win of their fourth consecutive ALCS appearance.
