The Miami Marlins are delaying their flight home after a reported coronavirus outbreak affected multiple players on the roster prior to Sunday's contest against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Miami will now depart Philadelphia on Monday morning and arrive at its home stadium hours before the home opener against the Baltimore Orioles at 7:10 p.m. ET, manager Don Mattingly told Steven Wine of The Associated Press.

Jose Urena was scratched from Sunday's start, as he, first baseman Garrett Cooper, outfielder Harold Ramirez, and catcher Jorge Alfaro all reportedly tested positive for COVID-19.

"The guys that tested positive are quarantined here in Philly," Mattingly added, without naming who tested positive.

Teams are able to place players on the COVID-19 injured list under new rules in place amid the ongoing pandemic. However, clubs are not at liberty to disclose who contracted the virus without the player's consent.

Marlins shortstop Miguel Rojas said he plans to sleep in a separate room from his wife and children upon returning to Miami.

"I want to play the game of baseball, but life at home is important," Rojas told Manny Navarro of The Athletic. "You have a responsibility of taking care of your family too."
