New York Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner filed a petition for an order of protection against a fan who he says has "stalked, harassed, and menaced my family and me," according to Brendan Kuty of NJ.com.

Gina Devasahayam, who claims Gardner sends her "sexual" signals, filed a countersuit requesting the order to be dismissed so she and Gardner can have children together, even though the two have never met.

"The defendants are also delaying my biological clock for my pregnancy as I would like to start this process immediately," Devasahayam told the court.

The 46-year-old has been barred from the Yankees' spring training facilities and was removed from Camden Yards in Baltimore last August after nearly gaining access to New York's clubhouse. Devasahayam was later removed from Yankee Stadium following an attempt to attend Game 5 of the 2019 ALCS.

Devasahayam is suing Gardner, the Yankees, and the league to reverse her ban from Yankee Stadium and allow her access to the team's clubhouse.

"I request the court to grant me access to the stadium in accordance with MLB fan policy and also in accordance with ‘significant other’ of MLB player Brett Gardner," she wrote in the lawsuit, according to Kuty. "I am a Yankees fan and also the future wife of Brett Gardner."

In Gardner's lawsuit, he requests protection that will keep Devasahayam 500 feet away from him, his family, and all major-league stadiums. He claims the accused won't stop calling and emailing him.

Devasahayam “believes she knows me personally and maintains some sort of amorous relationship with me,” Gardner told the court. “This is not true.”

This situation reportedly began in October 2015. Devasahayam emailed then-Yankees manager Joe Girardi to express her interest in the outfielder.

Gardner and the Yankees aren't commenting on the lawsuit aside from the court filings.
