The Toronto Blue Jays are listening to trade offers involving their young catching duo.

Toronto is interested in acquiring starting pitching and has discussed moving catchers Danny Jansen and Reese McGuire to bolster its rotation, a rival executive told Ben Nicholson-Smith and Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.

The Blue Jays value the two backstops very highly, Nicholson-Smith and Davidi added.

Jansen, 24, finished as a Gold Glove finalist last season and hit 13 home runs in 107 games. The 24-year-old McGuire accrued an .872 OPS in 30 contests in 2019.

The Blue Jays are also rumored to be open to potentially moving outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. to improve their starting rotation.

Toronto's 5.25 ERA by starting pitchers ranked 22nd in the majors last season.
