Texas Rangers left-hander Mike Minor is increasingly likely to be traded before the July 31 deadline, sources told MLB Network's Jon Morosi.

The Milwaukee Brewers and Philadelphia Phillies are among the clubs interested in the 31-year-old's services, Morosi notes. However, there's no indication that a deal is close.

Philadelphia reportedly had interest in Andrew Cashner before he was dealt to the Boston Red Sox, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. The Phillies' starting rotation has a combined 4.60 ERA, which is the fifth-worst mark in the National League.

The potential addition of Minor would provide the Brewers' rotation with a much-needed quality starter. Right-handers Brandon Woodruff and Zach Davies have enjoyed breakout seasons, but the rest of the staff - most notably, Opening Day starter Jhoulys Chacin - has underperformed.

Minor is coming off his first All-Star Game appearance in what's arguably been the best season of his career. He's posted a 2.73 ERA in 122 innings with 121 strikeouts.

The Rangers' staff ace has another year remaining on his contract and has partial control of his future in the form of a limited 10-team no-trade clause, according to Cot's Contracts. It's not clear which teams are on Minor's no-trade list or whether he'll consider exercising the clause, but he didn't seem eager to leave Texas when he addressed the rumors Wednesday.

"I don't want to go anywhere," Minor told TR Sullivan of MLB.com. "... Ever since I signed here, I was a topic of discussion. It was like I signed here just to be traded."

Texas sits 8 1/2 games behind the Houston Astros for first in the American League West and four games out of a wild-card spot. The team was previously rumored to be looking to add talent in light of a surprisingly competitive season.
