The Pittsburgh Pirates will have a new face for their twin bill against the Cincinnati Reds on Monday, as the club will promote top prospect Mitch Keller to start on the mound, the team announced Sunday.

The 23-year-old right-hander is a former second-round pick and is the No. 1 prospect in the Pirates' system. Even further, Keller is the No. 4 right-handed pitching prospect in the game and the No. 21 overall farmhand.

Keller earned a promotion to Triple-A midway through 2018 and has authored a 4.17 ERA and 1.49 WHIP over 19 starts with a 10.2 K/9 and 3.8 BB/9.

Keller will become the latest member of the 2014 draft class to make the bigs, joining fellow second-rounders Sean Reid-Foley, Alex Verdugo, and Spencer Turnbull, among others.

After wrapping up their weekend series against the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Pirates begin a four-game set against the Reds on Monday with a doubleheader starting at 1:10 p.m. ET. The second game is scheduled to start at 7:10 p.m.
