Marcus Stroman took to Twitter on Monday to vent about the number of free-agent veteran pitchers that remain unsigned with the new MLB season slated to start March 20 in Japan.

The Toronto Blue Jays' spirited right-hander fired off a series of tweets questioning why the likes of Dallas Keuchel, Gio Gonzalez, and Craig Kimbrel haven't been able to land new deals.

"How is (Dallas Keuchel) not signed yet!? Sink/cut combo and (changeup) are filthy," Stroman wrote on Twitter. "Will immediately step in and upgrade every single starting rotation in the big leagues. One of my favorites to watch because he rarely misses a spot when he's on!"

He added: "Same goes for my bro (Gio Gonzalez). Miss seeing these guys out there doing what they love. I have to watch Gio's Instagram stories of him pitching at a high school field to see how he's doing. That's crazy. Hoping to see you back out there soon bro!"

Stroman also wrote, "Kimbrel is one of the last pitchers any hitter in the big leagues wants to face. Need to see that pre-pitch killer stare and arm hang on a mound soon!"

This isn't the first time this spring the 27-year-old has addressed contracts - or lack thereof.

Stroman, who is eligible to hit free agency following the 2020 campaign, proclaimed last month "it seems like I'm not wanted sometimes" and that the Blue Jays haven't approached him about an extension. He also challenged the team's front office, saying the club needs to "mix in some pieces" to "kind of bolster" the roster.

Since those comments, the Blue Jays have added veteran right-hander Clay Buchholz to provide starting pitching depth and signed reliever Bud Norris to a minor-league deal.

Toronto went 73-89 to finish 4th in the American League East in 2018.
