Jose Canseco volunteers to be Trump's chief of staff
Jose Canseco is eyeing a new job working alongside President Donald Trump.
The former big-leaguer and controversial author volunteered to be Trump's chief of staff on Wednesday.

Canseco, who won the American League MVP in 1988 with the Oakland Athletics, admitted to using performance-enhancing drugs while he played and named others who did the same in his book: "Juiced: Wild Times, Rampant 'Roids, Smash Hits & How Baseball Got Big."
Since retiring, the 54-year-old has constantly been in the news. He's been a celebrity boxer, competed in professional mixed martial arts, and accidentally shot himself in the hand in 2014 while cleaning a gun in Las Vegas.
The news of Canseco's interest comes three days after New York Yankees president Randy Levine was reportedly considered a "wild card" to replace outgoing Chief of Staff John Kelly. Levine later clarified he hadn't been spoken to about taking the position and was happy with his current role in the Yankees organization.
