Mannywood: The sequel.

The Los Angeles Dodgers finally completed a trade Wednesday to acquire Baltimore Orioles All-Star shortstop Manny Machado in exchange for five prospects: outfielder Yusniel Diaz, right-handed pitchers Dean Kremer and Zach Pop, third baseman Rylan Bannon, and infielder Breyvic Valera.

No cash or international bonus pool funds were exchanged in the trade, according to Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports.

Machado, who started at shortstop for the American League in Tuesday's All-Star Game, will now take over at short for the defending NL champions for the balance of the season before he hits free agency. Los Angeles has been without its homegrown All-Star shortstop, Corey Seager, for much of 2018 after he needed season-ending Tommy John surgery in May.

The 26-year-old slides into the Dodgers' already potent lineup after posting a .315/.387/.575 slash line with 24 home runs and 45 walks in 96 games for the Orioles this season.

Perhaps the biggest piece heading to Baltimore is Diaz, who was ranked as the Dodgers' No. 4 prospect by MLB Pipeline prior to the trade. The 21-year-old is in the midst of a breakout season at Double-A Tulsa, hitting .314/.428/.477 with six homers, 30 RBIs, eight stolen bases, and 41 walks in 264 plate appearances.

Bannon, Los Angeles' No. 27 prospect, is now in his second professional season. An eighth-round pick out of Xavier University in 2017, he currently owns a .961 OPS with 20 homers, 17 doubles, and 61 RBIs at High-A Rancho Cucamonga.

Kremer has started 17 games across two levels in the Dodgers' system this year and has turned into a strikeout machine. He's averaging 13.1 strikeouts per nine innings and has also allowed only seven homers in 86 innings.

Pop, a right-handed reliever, owns a 0.33 ERA over 27 innings since he was promoted to Rancho Cucamonga in May. The 21-year-old Canadian has struck out 47 batters this year while walking just 13.

Valera is the only player heading to Baltimore with MLB experience, having appeared in 25 games over the last two seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals and Dodgers. The 26-year-old is versatile defensively and has made appearances at all three outfield spots as well as second, third, and shortstop this season. He's spent the majority of the year at Triple-A Oklahoma City save for a 20-game cameo in Los Angeles.

Valera's inclusion in the trade opens a spot on the Dodgers' 40-man roster for Machado.
