Hats off to the Beavers.

Oregon State captured the College World Series title Thursday with a 5-0 win over Arkansas thanks to a dominant pitching performance from right-hander Kevin Abel, who retired the last 20 hitters he faced during a complete game shutout.

Abel, a freshman, neutralized one of the country's top offensive teams in Arkansas, limiting it to just two hits. Abel threw 129 pitches.

Oregon State catcher Adley Rutschman led the Beavers' offense with three hits and two RBIs.

The Beavers were one out away from losing the finals Wednesday, but a fielding mishap from the Razorbacks kept their hopes alive.
