Turner's broken wrist won't require surgery; no timetable for return
The Los Angeles Dodgers received some good news Tuesday about third baseman Justin Turner's fractured left wrist.
Manager Dave Roberts told reporters that Turner won't require surgery and will use a brace for a few days before beginning range-of-motion exercises, according to MLB.com's Ken Gurnick.
There's no timetable for his return, according to USA Today's Bob Nightengale, who reports Logan Forsythe will be the Dodgers' primary third baseman during Turner's absence.
The 33-year-old Turner exited a game against the Oakland Athletics on Monday after taking a Kendall Graveman pitch to the left wrist. It was later revealed he had a non-displaced fracture.
Turner was one of the Dodgers' best hitters last season, swatting .322/.415/.530 with 21 home runs and 71 RBIs in 130 games.
