The Seattle Mariners are the latest team to add to its bullpen, agreeing to a two-year contract with right-hander Juan Nicasio, pending a physical, sources told Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.

The deal is reportedly worth $17 million, according to Bob Nightengale of USA Today Sports.

General manager Jerry Dipoto hinted Wednesday that a move was on the horizon, telling MLB Network Radio: "I feel like we are in the red zone to get something done, and it's more likely to be in our bullpen than in our rotation."

With relievers being scooped up with each passing day, Nicasio is a nice add considering how effective the veteran was in 2017. The 31-year-old pitched in a career-high 76 games, 65 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, nine with St. Louis and two with Philadelphia. He finished with a 2.61 ERA (167+), 72 strikeouts, and a 1.07 WHIP.

Nicasio earned $3.65 million last season.
