Report: Rockies, McGee agree to new deal
The Colorado Rockies and left-hander Jake McGee have agreed on a new contract, according to Joel Sherman of the New York Post.
It's a three-year deal with a fourth-year option, reports Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports.
McGee's deal is pending a physical.
The 31-year-old spent the past two seasons with the Rockies, posting a 3.61 ERA in 62 appearances last year, including 58 strikeouts in 57 1/3 innings.
Over the course of his eight-year career, the southpaw is 23-16 with a 3.15 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, and a 10.3 strikeout-per-nine inning rate.
Colorado also reportedly added free-agent right-hander Bryan Shaw to their bullpen on a three-year deal Tuesday and remain interested in a reunion with last season's closer, Greg Holland, according to Heyman.
