Watch: Cano cranks 300th career HR
Joe Nicholson / USA TODAY Sports
Robinson Cano made the best of a bad situation Thursday night. With the Seattle Mariners trailing by three against the Texas Rangers in the bottom of the ninth inning, Cano smacked the 300th home run of his impressive career.
The 34-year-old second baseman became the eighth player to hit his 300th long ball while playing for the Mariners.
It was the 22nd home run of the season for Cano, who's belted at least 20 in eight of the last nine seasons.
