Three days after being released by the Milwaukee Brewers, veteran reliever Neftali Feliz has reportedly found a club willing to give him another shot, as the 29-year-old agreed to a deal Thursday night with the Kansas City Royals, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.

Terms of the deal, which is pending a physical, are not yet known.

Feliz, a one-time All-Star, opened the season as the Brewers' closer after landing a $5.35-million deal in January, but lost the ninth-inning job six weeks into the campaign and ended up managing a 6.00 ERA while allowing eight home runs and 15 walks in 29 appearances before being released Monday.

Since returning from Tommy John surgery in 2013, Feliz has been one of the game's most volatile relievers, posting a 4.36 ERA and 1.29 WHIP over 175 appearances between the Brewers, Pittsburgh Pirates, Detroit Tigers, and Texas Rangers with considerable fluctuation in his performance year-to-year. Last year, however, the former American League Rookie of the Year pitched well out of the Pirates' bullpen, authoring a 3.52 ERA with a 28 percent strikeout rate across 62 outings.

The Royals, now four games back of first in the American League Central thanks to a 9-2 run, have watched their bullpen struggle through the first few months of the 2017 campaign, as their relief corps ranks fifth-last in the league in ERA (4.41) and third-last in inherited-runner strand rate (67 percent).
